Ali Mahdavi: “Please, stop doing your nose!”
Ali Mahdavi, a Parisian art-director, stylist and fashion photographer, suggests giving up on unreasoned plastic surgery. He calls all the girls and women cherish the unique beauty of their face.
“Recently I was looking for two Iranian girls for a casting for an international magazine and guess what, they all have done their noses, mostly as a birthday present for their 16 or 18 years old anniversary, they took of the marvelous little bump that you can see from the profile”.
Plastic surgery like cheiloplasty, rhinoplasty or malarplasty gets popular, but it’s quite difficult to explain on which esthetic criteria girls rely to and who the role model is. In Ali’s opinion, changing the form of the face, women destroy their natural beauty and turn into the same-type people.
Before making any nose job, have look at the portraits of Maria Callas, Jacqueline de Ribes or Anna Cleveland who managed to turn their diversity into the fashion icon.
“So, please, I beg you. Wait a bit before changing your beautiful, refine sophisticated nose that gives you your character and your personality. Cherish this aristocratic bump you have from profile, celebrate the fact that this is what make you unique”.
Along with that Ali Madhavi has nothing against plastic surgery if it’s an act of art or a survival.
