I first saw glaring Volha Jewelry necklace on Facebook page of the brand Ruban – on the photo beautiful slim brunette Olya Prokopova was wearing her colorful creation. Olga’s necklace looked stunning together with an outfit from sisters Ruban.
Designer and former editor of the jewelry section of Tatler magazine, Olga Prokopova established her own brand in autumn 2012. Only for couple of months she brought out one main collection and also two capsule collections. All pieces were handmade and each one of them was unique – created personally by Olya in her own kitchen… Today Volha Jewelry is a real brand with a beautiful logotype, stylish small-boxes and even with followers of Olga’s ideas: you can find a lot of Olga’s follower in Instagram and today all Russian-speaking fashionistas are wearing her necklaces. Recently, Olga told me, that her real name is – Volha: this is where the unusual name of the brand comes from.
What sort of vintage elements Olga used creating this necklace? “Central sequin of vintage bracelet of 1970-s and my magic-with an amazing energy-astonishing technique-vintage super-beautiful-chain of the early 1960-s”.
