Anna Altabaeva for TINT

TINT necklace specially for Bijoux Bazaar © Egor Berladin, Bosco di Ciliegi press department

At first I met Anna Altabaeva as a wonderful illustrator. And recently Anna Altabaeva found her own accessories brand TINT, her designs show unique combinations of unpredictable ingredients. Anna uses exotic “condiments” like pieces of glass, rolled-smooth by the sea into perfect streamlined shape, small key from her grandmother’s jewelry-casket, coins with cypress silhouettes that were brought from Spain or parts of vacuum tube amplifier. Anna gave the following information about the necklace, she created for the Bijoux Bazaar: pendant with amber by origin Baltic 1970s, Chinese bead comes from 1940s, and the details of vintage jewelry were made in the USSR in 1960-1980s. Silver leaf is a Ottoman ornament which was bought in Istanbul in an antique shop in Chukdzhume and Indian red glass bead was found on the market in Delhi. Anna didn’t tell us where she found the copy of antique coin, but she attached it to her necklace not by accident. Everything she creates has a special meaning.
