Ilana Goor is an Israeli artist and sculptor, who also collects works of other artists. No wonder, that soon Ilana realized that her house in Tel-Aviv has become a museum. And she took a wise decision – she opened her house for visitors, who are able not only to see impressive interiors of the painter, but also to admire paintings by Ilana Goor and objects of her collection – from Diego Dzhakometti, Henry Moore, Josef Albers, Uri Livshiz and other masters.

Not only the museum, but the house itself is a true masterpiece. It is a building of the 18th century, which was fully reconstructed by Ilana and her husband according to the tradition of Jaffa's Old town – the heart of Tel-Aviv. 280 years ago Ilana's house used to be the first Israeli inn for Piligrims on their way to Jerusalem. In order to match the house with the image of the time of its construction, Ilana and her husband made a lot of efforts, for example, brought the stones for the first floor from the religious school for girls, which is located in another part of Israel.

Ilana has also decorated her house with her family relics – there are books of her grandfather in the cabinet, and there is a chair on the wall, which was brought by her grandfather – and also by the things, which she has found at the flea markets around while traveling around the world, and by the furniture, which she has made with her own hands (from these pieces, namely, her art-career has started), and by classic samples of modern furniture design.

So, the house of Ilana Goor is an obligatory place to visit for everybody, who is interested in modern art and interior design.
