We are in one of the saloons at hotel de Crillon – one of the most famous Paris hotels, situated at Place de la Concorde, a place for the most exclusive and luxury shows, including Haute Couture.

Giambattista Valli has shown his second Haute Couture collection, but his is not a newcomer in fashion world. Ungaro heir, who opened his own brand soon, showed his first personal collection as it was Haute Couture, not Pret-a-porter. Notably is was at the same saloon of the famous Westin hotel at rue de Castiglione, where great Yves Saint Laurent showed several last Haute Couture collections in his career. Off course Giambattista Valli’s past achievements don’t overscore his great future possibilities. And that strong accord of his last season’s entrance into Couture is followed by wonderful arpeggio. Giambattista prepared a ground for his entrance into Couture as a big player. Because the most important thing in this world is a client. And Giambattista has two types of clients: aged clients – mothers, and youthful clients – daughters; in decent families these woman wear the same size clothes. I’m sure, that when today mothers and daughters, seating in de Crillon on these golden chairs, decorated with Giambattista signature bows, opened the folders, they were trying to be the first in putting beautiful ticks near fancy looks. I’m sure all of them were lucky.

It was Evelina Khromtchenko from Place de la Concorde, hotel de Crillon, after Giambattista Valli Haute Couture.
