#NotAboutTheWar exhibition at The Fashion and design center of All Russian decorative art museum in Moscow

The exhibition project #NotAboutTheWar is dedicated to the history and transformation of a military uniform and military style. The exposition showcases more than a hundred works by Russian designers, military uniform items from museum and private collections, decorative and applied arts of the 20th century with military motifs. The exhibition presents garments and accessories from the collections of Russian brands like Ulyana Sergeenko, A la Russe, Gourji, Laroom, Masterpeace, Olovo. Each of the designers interprets military themes in their own way, some focus on functionality, others convey the spirit of that difficult time.
This exposition is not a chronological dispaly of the military uniform’s history, but it allows the visitor to see how the styled elements of the military costume have firmly entered the modern wardrobe, turning the military style into a classic.
