“Albert Watson. Fashion, Portraits &Landscapes” at Musei di Palazzo dei Pio in Carpi

Albert Watson. Fashion, Potraits & Landscapes – Pictures from the Blumarine archive. Photo © @blumarine

Anna Molinari, creative director and founder of the Italian fashion house Blumarine, dedicated this exhibition to the works by the Scottish photographer Albert Watson. For ten years of collaboration with Blumarine the photographer has created 12 advertising campaigns in the 1980s and 1990s. Anna Molinari says that Albert Watson was the first to fully define Blumarine’s identity in its essence of romanticism, seduction and femininity.
More than a hundred images exclusively taken from the Blumarine multimedia archive are on the display: photos of models ranging from Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell to Nadja Auermann and Helena Christensen who are posing against views of London, Naples or Las Vegas. All the portraits and landscapes of Watson’s photos are united by fashion: from the shine of dress up to the shadows and silhouettes of chosen locations.

The exhibition runs till June 17, 2018.

Address: Piazza Martiri, 68, 41012 Capri, Italy.
