Sky-high fashion: defile on board of Lufthansa

Fashion season fall-winter 2017-2018 is about to being in New York the 9th of February. Fashion editors, experts, celebrities and bloggers are already booking their tickets and planning what to get busy with during long flights. However, passengers of the flight LH400, leaving at 10:50 am the 8th of February from Frankfurt-on-Main to New York, definitely must not worry of the perspective of getting bored!

Lufthansa airline is organizing a truly unique project on board of Boeing 747-8 – a fashion show 10000 meters off the ground right above the Atlantic Ocean. The jet itself will be styled in the 1970s fashion, and the aisle between the rows will turn into a catwalk for the preview of the new collection of a New York designer with Russian origins Rubin Singer. His famous clientele includes such stars as Beyoncé, Shakira, Kate Beckinsale, Heidi Klum and Alicia Keys.

Besides, the flight crew will present a fashion retrospective of the flight attendants’ and captains’ costumes throughout last 60 years: from the first commercial flights on propeller planes to modern ones. Crew’s clothes were changing not only according to fashion trends, destinations were also taken in consideration. Passengers will see not only tropical uniforms, but also Japanese Yukatas as well as traditional costume of Alpine regions Dirndl, worn by the crew on board the flights to Munich during Octoberfest.

Fashion experts will give their comments on live through a special conference communication system of the plane. Each passenger regardless of the tickets class will be able to enjoy the show..
