Rijksmuseum Announced Designers Competition

The largest Museum of the Netherlands, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam announced a competition of designers Rijksstudio — 2017, under the motto “Our art belongs to the world”. Anyone, regardless of residence, can create their own art-object based on works from the gallery’s collection, which posted 250 thousand of his masterpieces for free in high resolution at the official website. The form is not limited — it may be the design of clothing or accessories, ornamental or decorative-applied art, photographs or video. For example, the eyeshadow palettes, created on the color-basis of portraits by Jan Adam Kruseman, Johannes Vermeer and Jean-Etienne Lyotard became the winner of 2014. The bracelet-book devoted the print of Rembrandt won in 2014.
Main prize of Rijksstudio — 2017 is to be 10 thousand euros. Works are to arrive till the 15th of January, and the awards ceremony will be held on 21 April 2017. More details and contacts: rijksmuseum.nl
