Amazon’s Private-Label Launch

$107 billion gorilla Amazon is launching it’s own fashion brand, which is likely to star early 2017 according to WWD.com.

Amazon alredy sell fashion brands; now it wants to build some of its own. And that could spell real trouble for companies selling fast-fashion or basics — and perhaps everybody else taking into consideration the fact that it’s Amazon that reshaped the book selling industry.

For the moment there was no official announcemnts, but Amazon is currentluy looking for the full team of “Amazon Private Label”, including some head positions. It also sponsored the Met Gala at the Costume Institute in 2012, owns Shopbop, hired Vogue online editor Caroline Palmer in 2015 as director of editorial and social and tapped fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni as its European ambassador. Amazon is trying to get known for being particularly stylish. Not yet enough. Anyway nodoubt it is is going to be a strong player in fashion field.
