Georgy Rushev for Georgy Rushev
Milena Ziyatdinova, my first stylist on the show “Fashion Verdict” on the Channel One, was the one, who introduced to me creative work of Yekaterinburg-based jewelry designer Georgy Rushev, her compatriot. The alien designs in the spirit of “Star wars” by Georgy looked good with bud-dresses which Milena used to select for the shootings. For the first “Bijoux Bazaar” Georgy created plastron necklaces and top-necklaces, which immediately draw everyone’s attention. Green plastron with cobra and gold plastron with crystals, I almost torn from my heart for the sake of this project – I was longing to purchase them before the presentation started and the cobra created a furor in my Instagram it recieved 3973 and 85 comments in just a couple of hours! And you should have seen Georgy – skinny boy with light spiky hair and snub-nose. For the project in Petrovsky Passage Georgy didn’t spare beautiful enamel flowers which he found on one of the markets in Istanbul. According to salesman, this necklace belonged to one of the concubines of the sultan’s harem. Gypsum head of the dragon came across designer in the souvenir shop of the ancient underground reservoirs “Istanbul Basilica Cistern.” On the two side parts of the necklace are placed two Pegasus. They used to be earrings that one of the clients brought to Rushev as a present from London. Georgy wore them as brooches on lapels of his jacket, but in time the clasp became rickety. Thank God that it became rickety, otherwise we wouldn’t see this marvelous necklace.
