Business of Fashion website has just released the list of 500 people shaping the global fashion industry. Russia is represented by 11 names. Evelina Khromtchenko represents Russia in “Media” category.
The Business of Fashion 500 list consists of 8 categories: “Designers”, “Creative class”, “Catalysts”, “Models&Muses”, “Executives”, “Media”, “Retailers”, “Fashion 2.0”.
“Designers” category names 118 designers, such as Azzedine Alaïa, Marc Jacobs, Miuccia Prada, Vika Gazinskaya, Ulyana Sergeenko etc. “Creative class” category is represented by 93 names (among them the founderof Bureau Betak – Alexandre de Betak, stylist Anya Ziourova, art-director Fabien Baron, makeup artist Pat McGrath, photographer Steven Meisel), “Catalysts” category names 39 people (among them co-president of KCD Ed Filipowski, the headhunter Floriane de Saint Pierre, Course director fashion design MA at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design Louise Wilson, Fashion East director Lulu Kennedy, chief executive at CFDA Stiven Kolb), 33 names in the “Models and Muses” category (among them Cara Delevingne, editor-in-chief of Garage magazine Dasha Zhukova, model Kate Moss, founder of buro247.com Miroslava Duma, model and founder of “Naked heart foundation” Natalia Vodianova), 95 names in the “Executives” category (among them chairman and chief executive of LVMH Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive of Kering Francois-Henri Pinault, JamilCo chief executive Khaled Jamil, owners of Mercury Retail Group Leonid Fridlyand and Leonid Strunin, founder and president of Bosco di Ciliegi Mikhail Kusnirovich), 70 names in the “Media” category (among them editor-in-chief of Vogue US Anna Wintour, editor-at-large of Le Figaro Godfrey Deeny, tv-presenter and journalist Evelina Khromtchenko, thesartorialist.com founder Scott Schuman, head fashion reporter and editor of International Herald Tribune Suzy Menkes), 35 names in the “Retailers” category (among them TsUM (Mercury) vice president Alla Verber, Browns founder Joan Burstein, Collete creative director Sarah Andelman, Corso Como 10 founder Carla Sozzani, senior vice president of Bergdorf Goodman Linda Fargo), 17 names in the “Fashion 2.0” category (among them founder and chief executive of Yoox Group Federico Marchetti, founder and chief executive of The Fancy Joseph Einhorn, co-founder of Moda Operandi Lauren Santo Domingo, founder and executive chairman of Net-a-porter Group Natalie Massenet, Asos co-founder and chief executive Nick Robertson).
The US is represented by 11 names, France – 66, China – 29, Brasil – 15, UK – 105, Italy – 47, Russia – 11.
Russian representatives of the rating are: TsUM (Mercury) vice president Alla Verber, stylist Anya Ziourova, editor-in-chief of Garage magazine Dasha Zhukova, tv-presenter and journalist Evelina Khromtchenko, JamilCo chief executive Khaled Jamil, owners of Mercury Retail Group Leonid Fridlyand and Leonid Strunin, founder and president of Bosco di Ciliegi Mikhail Kusnirovich, founder of buro247.com Miroslava Duma, model and founder of “Naked heart foundation” Natalia Vodianova, designers Vika Gazinskaya and Ulyana Sergeenko.
