What to present a shoe shopaholic, if you do not know their shoe size for sure?
Of course the book about one of the greatest shoe designers, creator of the stiletto heels – Roger Vivier.

Roger Vivier shoes were loved by style icons such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Catherine Deneuve, Jackie Onassis, Brigitte Bardot, Liz Taylor, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and none other than Queen Elizabeth II, who wore Roger Vivier at her coronation in 1953. Today every famous fashionista wears Roger Vivier shoes: Carla Bruni, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Anne Hathaway, Rachel Weisz, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julia Roberts, Gwen Stefani and, of course, Brand Ambassador Ines de la Fressange, among many other famously stylish women.
For Roger Vivier the most important was the silhouette. He used to say, that heels “place a woman on a pedestal,” which emphasizes her femininity and sexuality.
The book focuses on the life and work of Monsieur Vivier, his contribution to the world of fashion and the changes of women outfits, and women in general, which were caused by the appearance of stiletto heels.

The book contains sketches by Roger Vivier himself, a unique photo archive of the Brand, the most striking examples of the collections of recent years and publications in leading fashion magazines. Furthermore the book includes conversations between the creative director of Roger Vivier Bruno Frisoni and Cate Blanchett, Ines de la Fressange and Catherine Deneuve, essay by ex-fashion editor of Le Figaro and now editor-in-chief of the french Vanity Fair – Virginie Mouzat and many more interesting stories.
