Snaffle bit is a special attribute used while riding horses. It consists of two rings and a shackle arranged between them. In 1953, the original Gucci loafers were decorated by a snaffle-bit buckle for the first time. That particular loafers became the most famous model of shoes ever designed by Gucci. In 1985, they also became part of the permanent exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2013, Frida Giannini, the Creative Director of Gucci, has created a limited edition of “1953”collection. Personally I prefer loafers made from reptile skin.
I’m choosing between gray and brown ones. These shoes are literally eternal!
