VOYAGE
Exhibition “The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined” in London
The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined includes over 120 exhibits from the renaissance through to the 21st century, dissecting what creates the good and bad taste that has continued to evolve through the ages. Leading designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Moschino, Louis Vuitton and Miuccia Prada will be on display alongside 18th Century pieces.
Why do we believe some images are vulgar on public opinion, how it has been changing over time as designers use the verge of our perception for maximum effect — a bold concept will force us to rethink or simply to reflect on the personal perception of fashion.
The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined runs from 13 October 2016 – 5 February 2017 at the Barbican Art Gallery in London.
