The first major retrospective exhibition of L. S. Bakst will take placeFrom 7 June to 4 September 2016 at the State Museum of fine arts named after A. S. Pushkin. Lev Samoilovich Bakst had a great influence on the general idea of stage costume, working with Diaghilev’s famous “Russian seasons” on the development of the fashion world. The exhibition can be seen about 200 of his paintings, sketches and garments from the collection of fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev. The exhibition closes the spring session of the festival “Chereshneviy Les”.
“Leon Bakst. The 150th anniversary of the birth” takes place from 8 June to 4 September 2016 at the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A. S. Pushkin at Volkhonka street, 12.
