Legends in Their Own Words In New Book About Fashion
In June a new book “Couture Confessions: Fashion Legends in Their Own Words” will be released to become the object of desire for everyone who at least slightly interested in fashion and visual arts. The book is a raw of carefully selected quotations and aphorisms of designers, who determined the development of high fashion. Compilation of statements and personal stories of designers will make possible to look in a special way on the life and work of Paul Poiret, Cristobal Balenciaga, Madame Grès and Alexander McQueen, Madeleine Vionnet, Gabrielle Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent, Jeanne Lanvin, Pierre Balmain and Christian Dior. The author, Pamela Golbin known to us as chief curator of a major exhibition “Fashion of the twentieth century” at the Paris Museum of decorative arts and the author of several books on fashion houses such as Balenciaga and Valentino.
