May 15, documentary film “The First Monday in May” is to appear on screens. The film is devoted to preparation for the ball costume Institute “Met Gala”, which takes place annually on the first Monday of May at the Metropolitan Museum in new York. The event serves as the opening of the big annual exhibition and collects all relevant experts from the world of fashion and celebrities, which tacitly ordered to appear in the most eye-popping outfits. Visitors are welcomed by Anna Wintour, which tells all the details, from how to select seats for guests and make invitations to the selection of outfits for the stars. Let’s watch the trailer and waiting for the movie network.

This year both the exhibition and the ball dedicated to the topic of high technology: “The Manus Machina x: Fashion in an Age of Technology” will feature more than 100 exhibits. Visitors will be presented as techniques ready to wear and couture gradually intertwined, altering the structure and concepts of fashion. “Traditionally the difference between clothes in haute couture and ready-to-wear was based on the fact, whether manually done these things or not. But today, when both adopt the methods and ways of manufacture from each other, this distinction is becoming increasingly blurred,” says the curator of the Museum costume Institute, Andrew Bolton.
