Damien Hirst launches a new restaurant Pharmacy 2 in collaboration with British chef Mark Hix in Newport Street Gallery on 23 February 2016. The modern restaurant will serve classic British and European food and its menu will be changing weekly. The new restaurant’s interior corresponds to its name: glass windows depicting DNA strands, marble inlayed flooring, a bar with stainless steel chairs, glass vitrines and designs of pills everywhere.

Pharmacy 2 gives visitors the opportunity to view some of Hirst’s artworks from his private collection and artworks which reflect his interest in science, through medicine and pharmaceuticals. It features works from some of the artist’s most iconic series including the Medicine Cabinets and butterfly Kaleidoscope paintings. “Pharmacy 2 combines two of my greatest passions: art and food,” Damien Hirst says.

Pharmacy 2 will be a place where lunch or dinner is not only a simple process of having a delicious meal but a real art performance with all its participants and viewers. Reservations can be made at www.pharmacyrestaurant.com
