Top model Anastassia Khozissova has commited adultery by choosing her own healthy life project #LifeOfTheModel instead of Dior, Lagerfeld, Armani and Ralph Lauren ‘s catwalks. Nevertheless Anastassia has found time to fly from Milan to Paris and take part in several Haute Couture shows and also in the shooting for the new SS collection by evelinakhromtchenko.com. We seized the moment to ask her a few questions about #LifeOfTheModel.

Anastassia, how did you started your project #LifeOfTheModel?

I always wondered why most people think that model job is something simple and easy and that beauty, money and fame fall on you out of the blue, like something granted. I decided to tell people my story and about the things that stand at the core of my job. I want to explain that it is a hard work and why it’s so hard, I want to help women to realize that beauty is the result of this hard work and healthy life.

Firstly, I started to reveal model business secrets to young models at the backstage of the shows I had taken part in. I always was took young models under my patronage because I remembered how difficult it was — to make my own first steps in this business and I had no coaches, no consultants! Then I started to talk about it in the interviews.

Social media have make the communication even simplier, and the questions poured in like a waterfall. That was the moment when I realized: though there are hundreds beauty and lifestyle blogs all over the internet, people are interested in the real experience, my experience. I picked up a popular hashtag #LifeOfTheModel and started my own project. Recently After graduating from the university I have become a certified Health Coach.

When you post something to your social media some followers always start complain that models are starving and they want to feed them. Is it true that model business is so exhausting?

Of course it’s not! I can eat anything I want and I do! The trick is that I think about it and I never get kicks. I know what products are good for me and my body, and what will be the result. So I ask myself: do you really need it? Will it change anything in your life? If the answer is ‘yes’, why not? I’m against any diet, and for the healthy life. And the healthy life doesn’t mean you have to eat vegies only or live on air!

I adore cooking and make my own individual nutrition programs for everyone who asks me for advice. My best student is my mom — she’s lost 10 kilos in 2 months without any effort. You can find all my recipes on my web-page: www.lifeofthemodel.com/taste. And they are not about what berries to add to your porridge to make it less unappetizing. Healthy food can be different and very tasty! For example, my favorite recipe is spatula with currant sauce, you can find it here

Some people think that models just use their natural beuaty. And it differs so from what I see in real life! Some models like running, some are yoga adepts… What about you?

Yes, model business is all about keep fit, so one day I had to start doing sports. At first I’ve tried kickboxing and tennis but very quickly realized that it’s not my cup of tea. The fact is that this kind of exercises makes you beefy and it’s bad for models — such parameters are just inappropriate in our job! So I started to look for something special for and discovered Pilates. Now it’s my favorite workout! I do it 3-4 times a week and 5 times a week before summer season.

When I don’t want to go to gym I just get on my favorite sneakers, go to the night club and dance all night long, like 5 hours in a row! It gives the best emotional boost and it’s a great cardiovascular exercise.

Sport has changed my life in so many ways. When I was a little girl I remember being sick all the time: angina, problems with stomach and so on. I went to the hospital 3 times per annum and it was awful! Now my sleep is regular and deep, I have more energy, I have almost no aches or allergic diseases. When I switched to the healthy life I gave up smoking and drinking alcohol. And thanks to Pilates! Because life of the model is the heeled life and, as consequence, backache. Now I forgot about it. And the most important: it’s the healthy lifestyle that helped me to live this filled and intensive life throughout years — life of the model!
