From 10 to 14 February, the Photography Center named after Lumiere brothers presents FASHION + ART + SUBCULTURE — the exhibition-competition of creative photo works of students and graduates of the course Fashion Styling at the British higher school of art and design for 2012-2015.
The organizers of the exhibition explore fashion as a synthesis of different phenomena, among which music, art, photography, cinema and much more. They propose to study not only main styles in clothes, but also to explore the origin of the fashion from the other end — through the prism of the streets and subcultures. Today, fashion is particularly eclectic. Never before Haute couture and Street fashion were not so close to each other. Provocation as a tool of subcultures — is the emergence of new creative ideas.
The lectures, master classes and public talks also will be held in the Photography Center named after Lumiere brothers. Daniil Golovkin, for example, will moderate a master class on fashion photography and the lead teacher of the course Fashion Styling Chris Kirik is going to talk about British punk.
