Documentary premiere — “Crazy About Tiffany’s”
On February 19, the scheduled release of the documentary “Crazy about Tiffany’s”, how a new York jewelry store had a huge impact on American culture and still has the status of a global phenomenon.
As you can guess the name of the movie quoted a good girl who does bad things, Holly Golightly from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. From past to present — the film will show the life and history of the jewelry house since 1837, when Charles Lewis Tiffany and John young opened their first store on Broadway. And since then, amazingly, the brand name was associated with many crucial steps not only in the development of jewelry art, but mass culture in general. Thanks largely to Tiffany & Co. was born the measure of diamonds — carat, appeared the state seal of USA, prints of which we all see on dollar bills. For Tiffany & Co. worked the geniouses of today from designers Jean Schlumberger, Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso to architect Frank Gehry. Thanks to the genius executives the box that turquoise shade, tied with a white ribbon became the official symbol of “every-girl-wants”. Perhaps there is no similar brand, comparable to that of Tiffany & Co. in its effect on women’s hearts. Especially interesting to see how it turned out. Film filled with interviews with top managers and famous clients, some straight from the red carpet in Hollywood, artists and filmmakers that ever were inspired by Tiffany & Co.
The movie was directed by Matthew Miele, this is his second film, the first “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s” (“Bergdof Goodman: on top of mount Olympus”) was also devoted to the fashion industry and was a surprise box office hit .
