«Structures of time»: Dimitri Semakov in MMOMA

The grand opening of Dimitri Semakov “Structures of time”
personal exhibition was held in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and supported by “SYZ Wealth” and “ChromeMedia” companies.
The exhibition includes artworks created over the last thirty years in Moscow, New York, Cologne and Brussels, as well as new paintings, sculptures and installations. Each floor of the Ermolaevsky 17 museum space has a different theme: arches, gates, towers and light. Guests had the opportunity to see the beautiful paintings, made in an original and expressive manner of the artist while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine lovely served by partners of the opening “Paulig” and “MBG Wine”. Specially for proper nutrition followers “Just for you” company treated diet desserts and fruit smoothies.
Especially for exhibition an installation called “Labyrinth of time” was made where everyone can enter and think about the time. Also for the first time the video installation “Patterns of time” was presented. It is a kind of collage where images of medieval architecture are interspersed with details of industrial mechanisms. Visitors have already started to share their impressions of the exhibition in social networks using hashtags specified to each theme: #gatesmmoma, #towersmmoma, #archesmmoma, #lightmmoma. #DimitriSemakov. The exhibition was opened by its curators Andrey Egorov and Anna Harutyunyan, Architects Union of Russia president Andrey Bokov, artist Dimitri Semakov, exhibition producer Evelina Khromtchenko and MMOMA Executive director Vasily Tsereteli.
