VOYAGE

The topic of conversation

Frederic Beigbeder’s book “Oona and Saliger”

A Parisian night will surely land you at a dinner party with a handful of strangers. The perfect conversation to bring up to break the ice is Frederic Beigbeder’s book “Oona and Saliger”. The book’s plot revolves around the impossible love story between the daughter of Eugene O’Neill, Oona and the writer Jerry Salinger. It is a beautiful way to travel into the past encountering the shadows of Truman Capote, Eugene O’Neil, Ernest Hemingway and Charlie Chaplin. Beigbeder beautifully offers us a way into the New York City and Europe during the Second World War. The writer considers it his first successful novel.
