Designs by Donatella Versace are very recognizable – and it is a big advantage for any designer. But behind the narrow triangles of the skirt slits, unclothing the legs and dynamic decollete, piquantly stripping the busts, very few people notice all the details of Versace recipes of turning ordinary girls into glam-amazons.

For example, the suit which opened the show, revealed a 50s style jacket, which was a witty fusion of Italian and French approaches to tailoring. In its silhouette one can read and the love for Balenciaga, admiration with Dior, and knowledge of Capucci’s design…
However, in a complex an intricate and simple at the same time design looks very Versace and feels so very 90s, so up-to-date and modern today. Later in the show, Donatella dissects jacket: cuts its sleeves and adds a corset.
Another iconic item of the show was fringe, that beautifully decorated the jacket, perfectly supported a wraparound skirt and added piquancy to the original white overalls with white gloves as a set.

No less amusing happened with trousers. For example, the design of the original vest, rolling in a long skirt was combined with trousers, one pant leg of which was cut in shorts length, and a silver overall, demonstrating impeccable pant leg to the right, turned to be a skirt with the same angle cut to the left and back.
The evening looks of the collection, presented with grand soir skirts accompanied with shiny bodysuits deserve special attention.
The only disadvantage of these stunning skirts is that for petite women the entire structure will have to be remade – just to make the skirt a little bit shorter will not do, as the proportions will be broken, so if miniature Jennifer Lopez, who was sitting in the front row of the show, liked these models, she should order the analogue as soon as Donatella’s atelier comes out of summer vacation.
