Giorgio Armani launches a line of sneakers

If only young Vika Gazinskaya knew, what consequences her habbit to wear sneakers, splendidly mixed with casual and evening outfits during Fashion Weeks in her journalistic years will cause…
Street-style photographers and bloggers from all over the world not only made Vika the Madonna of blogosphere, as perfectly noted the British press, but also prompted many designers with good ideas. Then numerous collaborations between such designers as Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott, Riccardo Tisci, Rick Owens and different sports brands came out. Now every respectful fashion house consider its their duty to repeat Hermes feat and launch a line of luxurious sports footwear.
And it was quite natural, when Alexander Wang created sneakers for Balenciaga and the designers duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli for Valentino. But when I received a press-release about Giorgio Armani launching a line of sneakers, it became obvious: “Everything is mixed up in the Oblonsky house”…
And you know what? Why don’t I drop in one of the Nike stores, like Vika Gazinskaya did in 2008.
