Question 3
Q“I went to Istanbul, it is a very beautiful city, full of the worst dressed tourists in the world, to my mind. Please give them advice how to look good.” Irina I., Moscow
A Evelina Khromchenko answers to the question of Irina I.
Hi! My name is Evelina Khromtchenko and I’m in Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. It is a beautiful building, take a look by yourself.
It is a really beautiful city, where you should come only excellently prepared. All in all, there are a lot of nice shops with local designers’ clothes here, Istanbul has its own fashion week and you can find a lot of wonderful new outfits. But is it better to take your own basic wardrobe here. I was always wondering, what is the reason for tourists to dress is such a bad way, why is it impossible to “embellish” the city by yourself; to represent your own country in the best way. But for some reason people do not think about it all or only in a last minute before trip. What would I recommend for a nice excursion in Bosphorus, Istanbul to like yourself, make a good impression and not to spoil the beauty around you? I think the silk jumpsuit is exactly what you need. It is not only because it is in fashion this season. The thing is that you feel very comfortable; you don’t need to think about mixing ups and downs, accessories. Speaking about shoes, I would recommend sandals, because it is the most fashionable and the most “right” shoes at the same time to suit the situation.
I chose sandals. Don’t fill your luggage with lots of accessories, you probably wouldn’t need them. There is a lot of wonderful jewelry on the local markets here, which you probably would like to buy. Take a look at the ring my elder friend bought for me yesterday on the Grand Bazaar. I think I wouldn’t take it in the nearest time, because the green jade color is exactly what you need this season.
