The fashion expert Evelina Khromtchenko composed an original course of lectures “Fashion magazine: creation and management.”
The first lecture was held on February 7th-2013 in the legendary main auditorium at the Moscow State University Journalism Department on Mokhovaya Street – opposite to Kremlin and Red Square.
According to the Dean of Journalism Department, Professor Elena Vartanova, the Faculty often invites renowned lecturers, but in this case the degree of students’ interest was record high: more than 700 applications on the website of the Department for only 270 seats in the auditorium. In order to accommodate all students, the administration had to video live-stream the lecture on the screen.
Starting from September, 2013 Evelina Khromtchenko will host the “Journalism: fashion and lifestyle” BA programme at the Journalism Department of MSU. At the moment Elena Vartanova and Evelina Khromtchenko with the participation of Media Economics and Media Theory cathedra staff members are developing the programme with a list of subjects and eventual professors.
“I gladly accepted the offer of MSU – being a professor at the Moscow State University is a great honor, besides now I have a great opportunity to pay tribute to my Alma Mater, – says Evelina Khromchenko, the owner of honours degree in journalism. – I really hope that very soon this work will lead to the creation of Fashion and lifestyle journalism cathedra at MSU Journalism Department: the media world needs more professionals in this area“.
