Weekend recipe: Blueberry smoothie

150 ml. almond milk
3 large strawberries
1 handful blueberries
1/2 zucchini
1/2 teaspoon rice malt

Peel the zucchini and put it in a blender. Add all the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into a beautiful glass and serve. Bon appetite!

Today I want to tell you about rice malt. It is made from 100 % organic brown rice. It is made through culturing rice with enzymes to breakdown the starches and then cooking until it becomes syrup. The final product contains soluble complex carbohydrates, maltose and a small amount of glucose. The importance here is that the carbohydrates in rice malt syrup provide a steady supply of energy, requiring up to 90 minutes digestion time. I like to use this sweetener very much.
