On September 29, a new avenue in the iconic Saint-Germain quarter of Paris will be named great French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel (On August 25, 2016 she died). The daughter of the designer Natalie Rickel is delighted at the idea: “In a way, avenues are the runways of the streets and it is from the streets that everything originates”. Which is something her mother understood rather well.
