Weekend recipe: vegan apple crumble by Cecilia Mendez

Ingredients:
3 big green apples
Juice and zest of one lemon
1 сup whole wheat flour
4 tablespoons coconut oil
2 + 3 tablespoons cane sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder for dough
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 handful of chopped pecans

Recipe:

Today we prepare together with the argentine model Cecilia Mendes.

For the first peel and core the apples, then quarter and cut into chunks. Put apples in a saucepan, sing them with lemon juice on top, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, sprinkle with cinnamon and cook them over a low heat for 8-10 minutes.

While the apples are languishing, mix the flour, the remaining sugar and coconut oil, add an organic baking powder for the dough, which doesn’t contain aluminum, and lemon zest. Knead the crumbles, it must crumble.

Now put apples in pre-prepared forms, on top – a crumble and sprinkle with chopped pecan nuts and coconut flakes. Put the oven in a preheated oven for 200 minutes for 10 minutes. Coconut oil and coconut flakes give to our crumble very interesting flavor!
